HIV Candle Light Memorial
May 13, 2011 The Wits HIV Candle Light Memorial will be held on 27th May at the Senate House concourse from 10:00 – 14:00.
It seeks to raise awareness of and lend support to an international campaign which highlights the human impact of HIV. As in the past, the event will be marked by the lighting of candles, symbolizing, the eternal hope of the human spirit, under the banner of “keep the Flame Burning”. It requires you to take a few minutes during this time to pass through Senate House and add your light to the candle display. Please support this initiative and encourage others to do the same.
