“Sex (is) Actually” upon us

August 19, 2010 – We are just a few days away from the 2010 Drama for Life Festival and Conference. Excitement and expectation is growing and on Friday, August 20, it explodes on the Library Lawns at lunch, with the official 2010 DFL Festival “Sex Actually” launch, “Sex on the Lawns”.

By now I am sure you are wondering what the festival is all about. My advice is that you come down to the lawns to see what’s up. You might just land in some candid conversations.

On Saturday, August 21, the future Maya Angelous and Oscar Wildes of the world take to the stage for the DFL’s “A lover + Another” poetry competition at 13h00.

This will be a battle like no other about – you guessed it – sex. And it promises to be a battle of the sexes too. Come check it out in the Great Hall.

The national finals will also be held in the Great Hall. Audience members should come prepared to hear “bare-it-all’, “under-the-covers”, “in-your-face” and downright sexy poetry.

For more information on the programme, check out the festival page or visit the 17th floor of Wits University Corner, where all of this sexy stuff is being brewed for your enjoyment and learning experience.
