Megan Reeks reflects on the DFL Playback Performance at St. Mary’s DSG:

“It was one of the coldest days winter had unleashed on us so far. But that didn’t stop the staff, parents & pupils of St Mary’s DSG (Pretoria) from braving the freezing conditions to come together & address, discuss, even tackle issues that have been causing challenges within their school community. Honoured with an invitation to participate in these activities, The Drama for Life Playback Theatre Company performed first for the pupils, bearing witness to their experiences of friendship & bullying. With reflections of just how much a jungle school can be swirling in their minds, the players then moved on to perform for the parents & teachers. Stories of parenting & the challenges parents & teachers are facing flowed freely, enlightening the players about the realities of raising a child in today’s technologically saturated society. Eye-opening, interesting, heart-warming & loads of fun, the Company thoroughly enjoyed their trip to St Mary’s DSG!”
