The Forgotten Angle Theatre Collaborative (FATC) funded by The National Lottery Distribution Trust Fund (NLDTF), brings you their latest creation titled “I Think It’s Hamlet” running at the Wits Downstairs Theater from Thursday, 24 February to Saturday, 26 February at 20h00.
The piece, conceived by internationally acclaimed award winning choreographer PJ Sabbagha, forms part of the 2011 Dance Umbrella programme and, featuring a cast of 10 including of the country’s most riveting dancers namely Dada Masilo, Lulu Mlangeni, Ivan Teme, Songezo Mcilizeli, and Nicholas Aphane.
Bringing together leading contemporary dance artists and performers, the piece is best described as a truly exciting and provocative dance theatre experience, said PJ Sabbagha
This will not be the first time the organisation has staged such an elaborate piece. FATC have thrilled audiences both locally and international with shows such as: Macbeth, Back, Zebra and Deep Night.
“The idea is to create an explosion of thrilling and dynamic physicality punctuated by thought provoking images –.” Sabbagha continues.
This cutting edge multimedia work that alludes to the original Shakespearean story capturing the inner struggles and dialogues of young men and woman is expected to draw fans from all over.
