Tanzania

Delphine Cosmas Njewele holds a diploma in education and a BA and MA in theatre studies. She has worked as an educator at primary school, teacher’s college, and university levels. She is a facilitator and consultant with the Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE) Tanzania chapter, and a facilitator and consultant for the University of Dar es Salaam’s projects on children’s theatre and Tuseme (Let Us Speak Out, a school-based development initiative). She is currently pursuing a Masters degree in dramatic arts at the University of the Witwatersrand.

Her research topic is An opportunity to introduce drama in education in Tanzanian formal primary schools: A case study of a children’s theatre project. Her niche is drama and theatre in education, children and gender issues.
