Martha Amutenya, born 26 years ago in the village called Eefa-doukadona, in the beautiful country Namibia, is a teacher by profession. She holds a diploma in education and an advanced certificate in management from Ongwediva College.

Martha has experience in implementation of workshops and community development. She has facilitated programmes like Window of Hope and Aids Club, at primary schools, she has attended many informative workshops, on topics such as Adolescent-friendly health services, Developing a comprehensive workplace programme, Peer Educator Training and Bereavement counseling.

She is joyful in appearance and mindset and able to work with and relate well to children and youth. Martha is also a competitive netball player. 

Martha is currently pursuing her Honours in Dramatic Art, through Drama for life, at Wits. She sees that there are many things happening in her home country that could make people’s effort to fight the spread of HIV and AIDS futile. Martha intends to use her skills to empower the young generations to help overcome HIV and AIDS.
