Thokozani Ndaba is a South African-born actor, theatre practitioner, activist and researcher, currently a DFL scholar at Wits University pursuing her Honours degree. She is exploring how forum theatre can be an effective facilitation tool for life skills development among girls aged 13 to 15. She has performed in a number of musical plays, including ‘Lost in the Stars’ by Alan Paton, a musical version of Cry the Beloved Country. She has worked with various local, regional and international NGOs in raising awareness about HIV and AIDS and issues affecting women and children.
Her research topic is A qualitative exploration of how forum theatre can be an affective facilitation tool for life skills development among young black women aged 13 – 15 years with a particular reference to sexual violence and HIV and Aids in South Africa.
