Dr Carol Preston

Carol Preston holds a doctoral degree in Applied Drama which she obtained from Drama for Life, Wits University. Her focus is on raising environmental awareness in young rural children using the arts, and has developed a proposed means to this end which she terms TEAP, or Transgressive Eco-Arts Pedagogy. Currently she is associate researcher and guest lecturer at Wits, and is also is a visual artist living in the village of Wakkerstroom, Mpumalanga. Here she runs The Shed, where artists, performers and writers are able to find quiet space within which to work and play.
